Your Accountability Partner

While a spouse may be chosen to receive notifications when the recovering addict views online pornography, we do not recommend that the spouse be the administrator of the accountability software.  This places an unfair burden on the spouse.  The recovering addict should take responsibility for his or her own recovery and not entangle the spouse in any aspect of carrying that recovery out.

The primary accountability partner, and administrator for any internet safety software, should be a sponsor or trusted member of the addicts support group.
