LEADERSHIP
- Co-leaders – Two leaders per group
- New Leader Training – Leaders are trained before they lead a group
- Ongoing Training – Leaders participate in ongoing training each year
- Network Involvement – Leaders are aware of purity resources and share them with group
METHOD
- Open – Group is always open to new participants
- New Participants – Receive foundational principles up front
- Book Study – Wide variety of resources from many authors used
- Accountability – Individual accountability is a key component of group
BIBLICAL
- Our Need for Christ – Christ is needed for recovery (Rom 7:18 & Matt 19: 25-26)
- Confession – Admitting our weakness and sin to others (James 5:16)
- Reflection on Sin – Seeing, with God’s help, how we have sinned (Psalms 139:23-24)
- Heart of the Matter – True recovery is more than stopping behavior (Matt 23:23-25)
- Mentoring – Passing on what we have learned is part of recovery (II Tim 2:2)
PSYCHOLOGY
- Time in Recovery – 3 to 5 year process
- Addiction Cycle – Explaining how sexual addiction works
